- The Torrid Zone meeting was held as part of the TropLinks International Symposium 2010 in Cairns. I was invited by the then Qld Chief Scientist, Peter Andrews. to participate in a meeting of a select group of leaders, policy makers and practitioners to focus on advancing knowledge of urbanisation in the tropics; identifying issues and opportunities related to tropical urbanisation and economic development; and building netowrks among leaders, investors, industry and researchers in the filed of tropical urbanisation.
