Dr Timbrell received a prestigious Vice-Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in 2014.

Dr Timbrell has trained top consultants from all over the world in IT management, strategy and knowledge management.

He advises start-ups, non-for-profit organisations, government and large companies on a variety of technology opportunities and issues.  Companies he has advised include Fonterra (NZ), Hewlett-Packard (Asia-Pacific), Infosys (India and US), URSlice (Texas), OCFO (Australia), Standards Australia, QUT IT Services, Queensland Government (several departments), Department of Human Services and a number of smaller companies.
