Biography
Dr Raymond Chan is Professor of Cancer Nursing, Metro South Health and Queensland University of Technology. Ray is a NHMRC Investigator and his program of research focuses on optimising models of care and outcomes for cancer survivors. To date, he has attracted >21.5 million (AUD) of research project grants as a chief investigator (>$7.2 Million as CIA) to undertake research in supportive cancer care. Prof Chan is a chief investigator for 4 NHMRC project grants, 1 NHMRC Partnership Grant and 1 NHMRC Fellowship, and has published 120 peer-reviewed articles.
National and State Levels
Ray is a Past President (2015-17) for the Cancer Nurses Society of Australia He currently serves as Founding Chair/Co-Chair for the Queensland Collaborative for Cancer Survivorship, and Vice-Chair for the Survivorship Group of the Clinical Oncology Society of Australia.
International Level
Ray serves as Chair for the Survivorship Study Group within the Multinational Association for Supportive Care in Cancer and as a Board Director for the International Society of Nurses in Cancer Care.
