Biography

Nicola Pritchard received the BAppSc(Optometry) from QIT and the PhD from QUT.  After three years in private practice in Australia and the UK, she joined the Center for Contact Lens Research (now Center for Ocular Research & Education) at the University of Waterloo, Canada in 1991, and in 2000, Visioncare Research Ltd in the UK where she worked on pre- and post-market contact lens clinical trials, basic research in the area of cornea and contact lenses, and monitoring global, multi-center regulatory studies. She has been a longstanding member of the British College of Optometrists, the British Contact Lens Association, and as a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry. She currently has an affiliation with Anterior Eye Lab at IHBI (QUT), with research projects related to ophthalmic markers of neuropathy and contact lens-related discomfort, and is the Manager of LANDMark Biobank. She is currently an associate editor for Clinical and Experimental Optometry.
