Biography

Linda is in the School of Early Childhood and Inclusive Education at QUT. Linda has an international and award-winning reputation in ‘post’ theories research  and arts based methodologies which she consults on in education focused research, including:

  • the use of iPads in developing literacy and creativity in young children;
  • using drawing to improve oral communication between educators and children;
  • encouraging young women into engineering via STEM based school learning; and
  • using exhibition pedagogies to research everyday foods in diverse cultural contexts.

Current arts-based research projects include:

  • examining diverse urban citizenships through the mapping of urban (play)spaces;
  • #FEAS project: using humour to examine workplace conditions for women university academics; and
  • #GKU: examining A.I., coding and algorithmic diversity via education plug-ins

Linda has exhibited in Australia, New Zealand, Canada, USA, and Europe, her work is held in private collections globally.
