Mathematical and Theoretical Biology I have an interest in the solution of ordinary differential equations as they relate to problems of dynamical systems in population and ecological contexts. Travelling waves solutions to coupled systems of partial differential equations provide a link form this interest in dynamical systems to problems of pattern formation and invasion in biological tissues.
Engineering Mathematics I have had a long-term involvement with the management and delivery of service teaching units in mathematics for various Bachelor of Engineering degrees and have been the recipient of an Award for Outstanding Contributions to Student Learning from the Carrick Institute for Learning and Teaching in Higher Education, 2006.
