Biography

Fiona joined QUT as a lecturer in 2009. She has coordinated and taught a variety of undergraduate and postgraduate units and focus in her research
on driving change in student engagement through innovative technology.

Fiona’s current research interests include:

  • Developing technology to enhance student learning through immersive experience
  • Non-intrusive data collection systems to accelerate the development of sensor technology in construction
  • Demystify the construction industry by challenging and changing people’s perception
  • Relationship management and project performance effectiveness, with a focus on project delivery systems and organisational issues.

Teaching

Fiona coordinates and/or teaches a range of undergraduate and postgraduate units in the fields of construction management and project management. She also supervises final year project students.
