Emily lectures in Immigration and Refugee Law, Administrative Law and International Law. She has also assisted with the set-up of the Legal Clinic program in the School of Law, as Legal Clinic Coordinator.
Emily is a PhD Candidate. Her thesis examines refugee family reunion policy in Australia and differentiation in treatment according to mode of arrival.
Prior to joining QUT, Emily was a immigration lawyer and caseworker at the Refugee and Immigration Legal Service in Brisbane. She continues to volunteer at the service. Emily has also taught English as a Second Language in China, Japan and Korea.
