Biography
My research is focused on understanding how host-microbe interactions in the female reproductive tract and in early life impact future health and disease. Iam the female reproductive tract lead investigator for The Australian Human Microbiome Biobank. My work examines how changes in the microbial communities that live in and on our bodies can modulate changes in how we function by:
- Characterising the microbiome of women and babies
- Identifying predictive asthma and allergy signatures
