Biography
Background
Dr John Chen completed his doctoral thesis, entitled “To invest or not to invest? Theory and evidence on stock holdings over the life cycle” in 2006 at the University of Melbourne, where he also worked in the Department of Finance. One of his PhD papers, entitled “Why do so few hold stocks: theory and evidence”, won the best paper award in the International Conference on Finance. John currently teaches at both the undergraduate and postgraduate level in the School of Business.
