Biography
David is a Research Fellow with 8 years’ experience conducting quantitative and qualitative road safety research. He has a background in developmental and social psychology. His research primarily focuses on the road safety of adolescents and emerging adults including how on how parents and family processes can be harnessed to teach young people to drive more safely. David has been involved in several large projects including those related to road safety education provided in schools, Graduated Licensing Systems, professional driver education and training, and Connected (co-operative) and Intelligent Transport Systems (C-ITS). Outside of the road safety field, David has been involved in large-scale mixed-methods evaluations of programs providing mental healthcare for refugee survivors of trauma and torture, and care and support for families of children with congenital heart disease.Personal details
