Biography

I work as a Senior Lecturer in the Computer Human Interaction discipline, Science and Engineering Faculty at QUT. I have a PhD in Human Computer Interaction from University of Twente, the Netherlands; a Master’s degree in Computer Science from Lancaster University, UK; and an under-graduate degree in Computer Science from Gujarat University, India.
Previously, I was a Research Scientist (2012-2013) at ABB Corporate Research  in Bangalore, India. Before joining ABB, I was a Post-Doc researcher (2011-2012) at the Human Media Interaction group of University of Twente, the Netherlands. While being a Post-Doc, I had spent half-a-year at the Nokia Research Center, Helsinki, in the summer of 2011. I also worked as an intern at Elsevier ScienceSatama Interactive (now LBi Lost Boys) and at Intelligent User Interfaces group of DFKI, Saarbrücken, Germany.
I have worked on 3 large-scale EU projects from 2006 to 2012: AMI, AMIDA and SmarcoS. I have over 85 publications in well known HCI venues, including, CHI, CSCW, INTERACT, UbiComp, ECSCW, NordiCHI, DUX, MobileHCI, ACE, COOP and British-HCI. I have also worked on several patent applications while at Nokia and ABB.
