Biography

My passion, experience, business career and academic interests focus on innovation at the intersection of health and wellbeing with technology and social change.

I have extensive experience in university, government, private and not-for-profit sector leadership roles, and with membership-based not-for-profit Boards. Operational, executive and Board appointments have included organisations engaged in consumer protection, publishing, chemistry, the arts, youth, sport and recreation, tertiary education, research and innovation, technology and social change, and health and wellbeing.

In my current role I am responsible for the development of mutually beneficial partnerships and knowledge transfer between industry, government and community organisations in support of QUT’s Real Health Matters strategy and its Executive Education flagship, QUTeX.

With an extensive background in health as well as strengths in strategic decision-making, stakeholder engagement, learning and teaching, research and innovation, quality and safety, and risk management, I bring significant capacity and strong cross-functional insight to leadership and management in the tertiary education sector.
