Dr Amali Ediriweera is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Centre for Mining Equipment, Technology and Services (METS) Business Innovation at QUT Business School. She currently contributes to the research project of developing business and eco-system management tools to support technology diffusion and overcome organizational and behavioral barriers to change in the mining industry.
Amali received her Ph.D. from Victoria University, Melbourne, Victoria. Her thesis examined the moderating and mediating impact of Work-Family Interface on family business success. While reading for the Ph.D., she contributed to two research projects in the mining industry which investigated environmental, social, and governance measures of listed mining sector companies in Australia and their assurance practices of sustainability reporting.
Prior to commencing the postdoctoral career, Amali worked for Holmes Institute, Australia, teaching a variety of subjects including Business Research, Managing People and Organizations, Marketing Research, International and Global Business, Retail Management, Comparative Business Ethics and Social Responsibility. Before moving to Australia, she worked as a senior lecturer at the University of Kelaniya, Sri Lanka.
Her research interests are technology adoption in mining, stakeholder engagement in innovation, community development, family business, and the work-family interface.
