Alessandro received his PhD from the university of Cagliari (Italy) in 2012 with a thesis exploring the collaborative use of large multi-touch screens. Since then he has focused his research on the design and use of collaborative technologies in many contexts, from the family to remote communities. His current focus is on technologies to support socialisation, communication, and creativity.
In 2020 I will be team teaching the following subjects:
IFB398 and IFB399 – IT Capstone projects. The Capstone project is a final year subject that completes the Bachelor of IT course. The students work in teams on industry hosted projects, managing independently all aspect of the project life cycle.
IFN692 – Interaction Design of Emerging Technologies. IFN692 is a studio based subject offered as part of the Masters of IT that introduces some key theories of user centred design, in the context of a design project.
