Mr Jason Voight

Biography

Jason Voight obtained a Bachelor of Laws from the Queensland University of Technology and is currently undertaking a PhD through the QUT Law Faculty.
He was admitted to the Supreme Court of Queensland in 2008 and the High Court of Australia in 2010 and holds a practising certificate as a Barrister.
Jason was employed by the Commonwealth Director of Public Prosecutions from 2004 until commencing as a Barrister in private practice in 2013, where he practices predominantly in Administrative Law, Criminal Law, Family Law and Taxation/Revenue Law.
He has been a volunteer lawyer with the Caxton Legal Centre since 2008.

Research Interests

• Administrative Law - The judicial review of parole in Queensland.
• Criminal Law - Current PhD student - proposed title of thesis 'The Prohibition and Criminalisation of the Use of Virtual Child Exploitation Material in Australia'
• Family Law - Litigated parenting and property disputes in the Federal Circuit and Family Court.
