Biography
Dr Donna Tangen is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Cultural and Professional Learning, Faculty of Education, QUT, teaching both undergraduate and post-graduate studies. Her research interests include transnational/international preservice teaching and teacher training, internationalisation in higher education, and issues pertaining to inclusive education. Tangen has conducted research in developing a DVD called: Bridge to Field Experience that provided Non-native English Speaking Background (NESB) preservice teachers with information about teaching in Australian schools and was associate coordinator of the MOEM3 program where groups of Malaysia pre-service teachers completed a twinning program between IPGKIK and QUT for a Bachelor Degree in Education. Tangen has coordinated short-term outbound mobility programs and has worked in AASWA short programs (training/doing research in relation to inclusive education for overseas educators). Research interests- transnational/international teaching and teacher training
