Biography
Dr Kerri-Ann Woodbury was a Nursing Officer in the Australian Regular Army from 2007-2012. She spent time in General Health Battalions, Combat Support Service Battalions, and Infantry units during her service. She was deployed as part of the Army Aboriginal Community Assistance Program to remote Western Australia, and also deployed as part of the Medical Readiness Training Exercise, coordinated by the United States Army, in rural Indonesia.
She has a keen interest in military PTSD and its effects in family units, and is currently undertaking her PhD, studying the impact of deployment on the resilience of intimate relationships of Australian Army personnel. She is a lecturer and first year coordinator of the Bachelor of Paramedic Science program here at QUT.
