Biography
BackgroundJohn Polichronis, has over 30 years teaching experience at various institutions including QUT, University of Queensland, Griffith University, University of Southern Queensland, Securities Institute of Australia, AGSM, U21, and AIM, together with 35 years of commercial and professional experience in banking and finance. He also has consulted to various clients including Government Departments, Utah Development, Brisbane City Council, and the Queensland Railway and is owner of the 'Polichronis Report', an enquiry into the operations of the QIDC, tabled in Queensland Parliament in June 1990. John's current research interests lie in the areas of behaviour of financial markets, cost of capital, pricing and valuation of infrastructure, and buybacks.
