Dr Maria O’Reilly is a Research Fellow in the Dementia Collaborative Research Centre: Carers & Consumers within QUT’s School of Nursing. She is an occupational therapist by training, with nearly 30 years of experience as a clinician, educator and researcher.  Her passion is aged care, in particular care of people with dementia and she has worked clinically in both residential and community settings.  Maria has a Master’s Degree in occupational therapy research as well as a PhD.  Her research has primarily focused on residential aged care issues, care of people with dementia, care quality, rural health, and clinical teaching.  She is currently involved in a number of research projects focusing on dementia care.
