Biography
Dr Hayley Moody is a STEM Educator for Student Success, where she works with Faculty and students to create discipline specific and contextualised learning strategies to engage students in metacognition.Hayley's commitment to learning and teaching has been recognised through Associate Fellowship (Indigenous) of the Higher Education Academy (2021), Senior Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy (2019), Wharton Reimagine Education Award Silver (2018) and Gold (2016), AAUT Award for Programs that Enhance Learning (2016),and a Vice Chancellor's Performance Award (2015).
Hayley's background is in biomedical research, having completed a PhD and Masters by Research, characterising biomechanical and histological properties of 'normal' and degraded articular cartilage and the surgical assessment of osteoarthritis. Hayley's current research interests are in health and science education, and the professional identity of student leaders in the area of learning and teaching.
