Amanda is the Postgraduate Course Coordinator and Lecturer in the School of Nursing, at the Queensland University of Technology.  She is a Registered Nurse with a strong clinical nursing background across a variety of settings, predominantly in cardiac nursing and opioid dependency programs.   Amanda is an experienced academic who values strong industry connections and the opportunity to contribute to the development of future generations of nurses and the nursing profession.    

Amanda’s research interest lies in health service innovation, advanced practice nursing and teaching and learning initiatives. Her PhD thesis examined factors influencing sustainability of health service innovation, in particular emergency nurse practitioner services. 

Amanda is a dedicated educator with extensive teaching experience across both the undergraduate and postgraduate courses at QUT.  In 2014, Amanda was appointed the Academic Coordinator of the Queensland Health Nurse Endoscopy Programs the first of their kind in Australia.

Amanda is the Postgraduate course coordinator and a lecturer in the School of Nursing. She has taught in undergraduate nursing programmes and has been the Unit Coordinator for Clinical Practice 4 and 3 for five (5) years. Amanda is currently the Academic Coordinator for the Gastroenterology Program that has just started in the School of Nursing.
