Kenneth Lyons has been teaching within the Creative Industries faculty at QUT for the past twelve years. In this time, he has coordinated and taught into a range of faculty core, Design, IT and Project Management related units and also within QUT International College and at the QUT Caboolture campus. Managing a long-term multidisciplinary arts practice alongside his teaching commitments, enables Kenneth to bring current and experiential approaches to classroom and student experience. In 2006 he was awarded the CI Deans Award for Outstanding Contribution by Sessional Staff. In 2009 he was awarded a QUT Vice Chancellor’s Performance Award for his contribution to the work of the university and in 2011 with colleague Greg Jenkins, he was awarded a QUT Vice Chancellor’s Performance Award for Academic Management. Kenneth is currently the Academic Coordinator for Creative Industries at QUT Caboolture campus and also a Lecturer and Head Tutor for the Creative Industries Foundation units, Creative Industries – People and Practices and Making Connections.
