Biography

Ann Lund is an Associate Lecturer in Journalism in the Creative Industries Faculty at QUT. She coordinates the Radio and Television units, the extensive Journalism Internship Program, is the Academic Supervisor for students undertaking Workplace Learning and is the Journalism Coordinator for the QUT Career Mentor Scheme.

Ann has been a journalist for 20 years and has an extensive background in broadcast journalism working in commercial radio, as a bi-media journalist for the BBC in the UK and as a programme producer at the ABC in Australia.

In 2005 she co-produced a series of QUT News programs broadcast on community radio, looking at refugees and asylum seekers in Australia. The series won a United Nations Association of Australia Peace Award for Best Radio.

In 2008 she received The Dean’s Award for Excellence in Teaching and also a Vice-Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in recognition of exceptional sustained performance and outstanding achievements in learning and teaching, partnerships and engagement, client focus and innovative and creative practice.
