PhD (University of Sydney)
I am a Senior Research Fellow at the Queensland University of Technology (with the Step Up project) and an Adjunct Senior Research Fellow at the Australian Digital Futures Institute. I am a cross-disciplinary academic conducting research into online communities, the cognition and computation of creativity, design, and teacher education.
I am co-leader of the project TeachConnect involving all Queensland universities in an attempt to improve the online support available to teachers through an altruistic community. My recent book is Online Learning Networks for Pre-service and Early Career Teachers (co-authored with Marc Clarà, Ben Kehrwald and Patrick Danaher).
I am author of over 50 academic publications and have been involved in numerous successful grants. I have held post-doctoral positions at the University of Sydney, the Pontifical University of Chile, the University of Southern Queensland, and Queensland University of Technology. I received my PhD and Honours degree (First Class with the University Medal) in the field of Design Computing from the University of Sydney.
An online blog and about page has current work.
