Csaba Buday is Lecturer in Contemporary Dance and Resident Choreographer in the Creative Industries Faculty (Dance).
A graduate of the Australian Ballet School, Csaba has had an extensive career as a performer, choreographer and teacher spanning over 26 years. He has worked with many of Australia’s leading professional dance companies (Ballet and Contemporary) performing numerous works by notable Australian and International choreographers including world acclaimed dance maker William Forsythe (Forsythe Company and Frankfurt Ballet). During this period Csaba toured extensively throughout Australia, Asia and Europe, performing at major International Arts Festivals, as well as undertaking music video clip and motion picture engagements.
Csaba’s vast experience and knowledge of Contemporary Dance has led to invitations to teach for numerous professional dance companies including:

He has also conducted Master-classes at Dance Festivals/Conferences including: International Dance Conference (Taiwan), Malaysian Dance Festival (Malaysia), Tari 07 (Malaysia), Guangdong Modern Dance Festival (China) and WDA Global Summit (Australia).
Csaba has choreographed a total of 36 major works that have been presented throughout Australia as well as in Hong Kong, China, Taiwan, Singapore, Macau, Vietnam, Israel, Scotland, Belgium, Austria and at the Danses de Mai Festival, Paris. He was the sole choreographer chosen to represent Australia at the prestigious Suzanne Dellal International Dance Festival in Tel Aviv, Israel.
Csaba is a 1999 Choreographic Fellowship recipient (Choreographic Centre, Canberra).
Between 2000 and 2003 Csaba held the position of Artist-in-Residence at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts.
In June 2010 Csaba took up an invitation to teach at the Conservatoire a Rayonnement Regional (Toulon, France).
