Kerrie has over 20 years experience in accounting, management, training and financial improvement across a range of public, private and not-for-profit industry sectors. Kerrie is a CPA qualified accountant and holds graduate qualifications in Applied Science and Commerce, and postgraduate qualifications in Business.
She commenced her career in small business office management before taking up a regional economic development role focusing on growth opportunities for small business in the rural community. At the same time, Kerrie commenced teaching a range of business courses at a small TAFE campus in north-west NSW, where she later became Registrar.
Moving to the Gold Coast in the mid 1990′s, Kerrie joined the Faculty of Nursing and Health Sciences at Griffith University’s Gold Coast Campus in a finance and resourcing role. This was followed by her moving to the central division supporting the Health group of schools as a Financial Consultant working across the Gold Coast, Logan and Nathan Campuses.
In 2000, Kerrie joined Queensland Health as a Financial Accountant and then Queensland Housing where she was responsible for managing a range of the department’s state-wide functions including financial training and development, financial improvement, budgeting and management reporting. Kerrie joined QUT in 2006 as BEE’s Faculty Manager and is looking forward to the new challenges of leading a highly dedicated team of professional staff to support the academic agenda of the new Science and Engineering Faculty.
